Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming - Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed - Perform floor care tasks including buffing, waxing, and polishing - Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement and minor repairs - Assist with porter duties such as moving furniture and setting up for events - Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) - Adhere to cleaning schedules and ensure all assigned areas are clean and presentable Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred - Knowledge of custodial practices and techniques - Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently - Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively Note:
